losing your voice (physically) is weirdly peaceful. you’re forced to choose words more clearly and you can’t raise your voice past whisper/pretty quiet volume. If no one could raise their voices, I think we’d be a lot more rational. It’s a lesson for how to treat conversation. Gentle people always make you feel more safe, and they seem sensible.
